I wanted to personalize my son’s cupcake favors from his recent birthday party, so I decided to make customized stickers for the boxes. Here is the final product:
Making the stickers was easier than I thought it would be!
What You’ll Need:
- Sticker Paper (Avery makes them – I bought Staples’s generic brand)
- 8 1/2 x 11-inch plain paper
- 2-inch Circle Punch (Michael’s)
- Adobe Photoshop (optional, but recommended)
- Microsoft Word
- Inkjet Printer
How To Make Your Own Stickers:
- Create a design for your sticker using Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Word.
- Make sure the design fits the diameter of the sticker you’re making. Resize the image if necessary. Here is the Go Diego Go! sticker that I created in Adobe Photoshop:
- If using Photoshop, save your sticker into a .jpg file and paste it several times into a Word document. If designing your sticker in Word, create a table with 2 columns and 4 rows. Copy and paste your design into each cell of the table.
- Print a sample page of your Word document on plain paper.
- Using your circle punch, cut out one of the stickers to make sure it looks okay. Tweak your design if necessary.
- Insert your sticker paper into your printer, and print a copy of your Word document.
- Cut out your stickers with your circle punch. Enjoy!
