Flower Headband for Babies and Toddlers

I’m always a sucker for a baby girl with a flower headband on her head. I made this for my daughter to wear on her first birthday.

Flower HeadbandI even made a matching one for me to wear as well!

What You’ll Need:

  • Silk Flower (Michaels or Dollar Store)
  • Headband (Scünci sells packs in CVS and other major retailers)
  • Crystal or Jewel Gem (Michaels)
  • Black Felt (Michaels)
  • Wire Cutters
  • Fabric Glue or Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors

How To Make Flower Headband:

  1. Using wire cutters, cut the top of the flower (with petals) off the stem.
  2. Using scissors, cut a small piece of felt that will be used to secure the flower petals to the headband.
  3. Apply glue to the center of the back of the flower and to the felt.
  4. Position the flower on top of the headband and the felt piece behind it. It should look like this on the bottom:

  5. Hold together until it dries.
  6. On the front of the flower, glue a gem in the center.

There are so many different headbands you can make simply by changing the type of flower you glue on to the band. The possibilities are endless! Enjoy accessorizing your little girl (or yourself for that matter)!
